Vince Gerasole

Vince Gerasole is a 14-time Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist. He spent 20 years covering the features beat and anchoring and reporting for various newscasts at CBS Chicago.  He now hosts the station’s weekly entertainment segment, CBS2’s Got Your Ticket.

Gerasole was named the Best Broadcast Reporter in the state by The Associated Press of Illinois. His work earned individual Emmys for Spot News Coverage (The Chicago Blizzard of 2011), Outstanding Individual Reporting (2003, 2004, 2005), and Outstanding Writing (2006 and 2007), among others. Gerasole’s culinary reporting was also nominated three times for The James Beard Award, often called the Oscars of the food industry.

Before his time at CBS, Gerasole worked as a reporter and anchor in Honolulu, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh.  He also spent three years covering Capitol Hill and the White House for Cox Broadcasting.
