Melissa Korn

Melissa Korn is a higher education reporter for The Wall Street Journal, where she writes about college admissions, university finances and, recently, schools’ responses to the coronavirus pandemic. She is co-author of Unacceptable: Privilege, Deceit, and the Making of the College Admissions Scandal, which was published in July of 2020.
She joined Dow Jones in 2007, first writing breaking corporate news for the Dow Jones Newswires Spot News desk and then covering for-profit colleges, student lenders, alcohol and tobacco for the wire. She moved to The Journal in 2011 to cover business education, workplace issues and the college-to-career pathway.
Ms. Korn is a graduate of Cornell University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
