Joe Serio, LCPC

Joe Serio, LCPC (he/him/his) is the Chief Clinical Quality Officer at Compass Health Center. He completed his graduate work in both mental health counseling and in developmental psychology at Northern Illinois University. Serio is trained in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and exposure therapy.

Serio worked in community mental health and inpatient before joining Compass in 2018. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, he is a long-standing advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and ensuring LGBTQ+ patients receive and have easy access to the highest quality mental health care.
