Ganae McAlpin-Toney

Ganae McAlpin-Toney is a mother of two, educator, coach, and facilitator dedicated to fostering relationships among people of different races, socio-economic status, and sexuality. Ms. McAlpin-Toney is the Director of Equity for Evanston Township High School D202. In addition, she is also the facilitator for the second-year induction program.
Ms. McAlpin-Toney grew up on the West Side of Chicago and attended Lane Technical High School where she was the recipient of a Golden Apple teaching scholarship. She studied History and Secondary Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and then pursued her first master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in Educational Administration and her second master’s from Concordia University in Curriculum. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Curriculum from DePaul University.
