Elise Jordan is a communication strategist, writer, and political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. Her forthcoming history of General Dwight D. Eisenhower and the women who worked for him during World War II will be published by Knopf in 2025.
Jordan was a policy and communications advisor to Senator Rand Paul’s 2016 presidential campaign. During the George W. Bush administration, she worked in the White House Office of Presidential Speechwriting and at the State Department as a speechwriter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. In 2007, Jordan joined the National Security Council, where she worked on press and communications strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including TIME, The Atlantic, Wall Street Journal, Buzzfeed, Marie Claire, and National Review.
Jordan was born and raised in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and is a graduate of Yale University.
