Book Release Party and Anniversary Celebration with Christopher Eliopoulos
The Book Stall is thrilled to host illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos on Sunday, January 21 at 3:00 pm for a book release party featuring his new book, I Am Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Ordinary People Change the World). Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is the 32nd hero to be featured in the New York Times bestselling I AM picture book biography series. We also will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the series, which is one of the leading series teaching history to kids with over 7 million copies in print and PBS KIDS TV show based on the books! One great role model at a time, these books encourage kids to dream big. The family-friendly event will include a drawing demo, fun activities, and treats! This picture book is perfect for kids ages 5 to 9.
This event is free with registration. To register, please visit our website or CLICK HERE!
More About the Book: Before Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a judge, she was a young Jewish girl growing up in Brooklyn, inspired by books, female trailblazers, and her mother to make the world a better place to be. So even when people turned her away, for being a girl and for being Jewish, she never stopped fighting for equal treatment for everyone by pushing back against unjust laws.
I Am Ruth Bader Ginsburg includes a timeline of key events in her history, photos that bring her story more fully to life, comic-book-style illustrations that are irresistibly adorable, childhood moments that influenced her, facts that make great conversation-starters, and her virtue of perseverance to create justice and equality is highlighted.
More About the Illustrator: Christopher Eliopoulos has worked on thousands of comics, including the graphic novels Cosmic Commandos and Monster Mayhem. He is the author and illustrator of the picture books The Yawns Are Coming!, The Giggles Are Coming!, and A Little Emotional. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and their identical twin sons (when the boys are home from college).
