Melissa Blitz, LCPC

Melissa Blitz, LCPC (she/her) is the Associate Director of the Center of Excellence for Adult Mood & Anxiety programming at Compass Health Center. She received her master’s degree from DePaul University in 2014 and is a licensed clinical professional counselor, having worked in various settings spanning inpatient care, community mental health, clinical research, and Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs (IOP/PHP).

Blitz joined Compass Health Center in 2018 and has worked within a spectrum of roles providing group and individual therapy, as well as program leadership to the over-18 population. She is currently working on clinical operation projects that target needs and enhance support for both patients and staff across the agency. Blitz identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and has worked with hundreds of patients who identify as LGBTQ+ during her tenure at Compass.
